Alexandra Rocher

Alexandra Rocher has more than 20 years of experience in the development, validation and improvement of manufacturing processes, including 15 years in the medical device industry.

First as a production manager at Photonetics on Mux/Demux DWDM for Telecoms.

Then on the certification and transfer to production of IR thermal imaging cameras and binoculars in the Defense and Security sector at SAFRAN,
In 2008, she joined the R&D team of Maunakea Technologies to work on the Cellvizio Confocal Miniprobes, then became Industrialization and Methods Manager in 2016, to coordinate the production transfer activities of the new generations of products, as well as the continuous improvement on the existing production lines.

Brian Burg, PhD

Brian Burg

Brian grew up in Luxembourg and studied mechanical engineering in Switzerland (ETH Zurich) and Boston, U.S.A. (MIT). He has worked on liver perfusion (Wyss Zurich, CH) and the structural heart (CorWave, FR & Alluent Medical, FR), before turning his attention to the eye at Pixium Vision.

Over the last 15+ years he has established a proven track record of bringing the most ambitious projects from the drawing board to viable products.

Ralf Hornig, PhD
Director of Clinical Affairs

Ralf Hornig

Dr. Ralf Hornig has more than 20 years of experience in Retinal Implant research and Artificial Vision. He received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Hanover, Germany in 1995 and the PhD degree with highest honor in 2001 at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Between 1996 and 2001 his research activities included system tests, computer simulations, ASIC development as well as pre-clinical test for retina implants at the University of Bonn, Germany. From 2001 to 2012 he was member of the management team at Intelligent Medical Implants (IMI), where he was responsible for pre-clinical and clinical trials. He remains a scientific peer reviewer for international publications.

Karine Chevrie, PhD
Regulatory Affairs and Quality Director

Karine Chevrie

Karine Chevrie has a PhD in Biochemistry and 20 years’ experience in the field of medical devices. During her career, she was notably in charge of regulatory strategies which contributed to obtaining CE marks and FDA approvals. She also built and managed quality management systems complying to ISO 13485 and 21CFR820 US regulation. From 2006 to 2015, Karine Chevrie held the position of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Director at EOS Imaging. Previously, she was for 7 years in charge of medical devices that hold a biological risk at AFSSAPS (now ANSM). In that framework, she participated in several work groups at the European Commission.

Offer Nonoff

Offer Nonhoff has more than 20 years in leading finance functions across various industries in emerging companies with disruptive technologies and large corporate enterprises. Before joining Pixium, Offer spent 2 years as CFO of Trigo Vision, a leading startup in the retail tech space based in Israel, helping the founders achieve commercial readiness while raising material capital. Prior to Trigo he worked 3 years as CFO of Fresenius Medical Care integrating a large Israeli dialysis clinic chain into corporate structures. During his 5 years at BONESUPPORT he was able to lead the company as CFO from the early stages of commercialization, through hyper growth all the way until IPO. Before that Offer was the CFO of the EMEA Headquarters of Lumenis. Offer started his career working for more than 15 years at Siemens, beginning in the accounting department in Germany until becoming the co-founder of Siemens in Israel and spending 12 years building a multi-million-dollar franchise. Born and raised in Berlin, Offer studied in Germany and the USA receiving his BA of industrial Business Administration from the IHK in Munich

Lloyd Diamond

Lloyd Diamond, a US citizen, is a seasoned medtech executive and CEO with 25 years of disruptive technology commercialization experience in the life science industry. He most recently served as the CEO of Precise Light Surgical, a commercially ready medical device company in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Bonesupport AB, a European orthobiologic company, where he drove rapid market penetration in Europe and the US which led to a successful IPO on the NASDAQ OMX in Stockholm. Lloyd has first-hand experience in the ophthalmology segment as he was responsible for managing Lumenis’ global surgical and vision franchises. He has commercialized many other disruptive technology platforms including at Kyphon and Laserscope. Lloyd received a dual degree in Biochemistry and Marketing from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
