Innovations abound in France’s laboratories, and they are becoming more and more incredible. For example, Pixium Vision’s bionic vision system (a small implant placed in the retina that works with glasses and a handheld remote control) restores sight to patients with dry AMD who have become visually impaired. “There was no treatment for it until now”, says Lloyd Diamond, its CEO.
