EVER is the leading ophthalmological research association in Europe which covers all areas of ophthalmology and the visual sciences. Besides the rapid fire presentations and posters, there will be keynote lectures, plenary lectures, special interest symposia (SIS), courses and workshops, with many distinguished invited speakers.
The 18th congress of European Retina, Macula and Vitreous Society (EURETINA) will take place from 20 – 23 Sept at at the Reed Messe, Vienna, Austria. The congress touches on fields like Retina, Eyesight, Medical, Healthcare and Ophthalmology. The Annual Congress programme will have a clinical focus and include topics such as AMD, Vitreoretinal Surgery, Imaging, Uveitis/Inflammation, Diabetes and Retinal Vascular Disease.

In addition to some colleagues participating in this annual charity run/walk, the associated funds raised will be donated to the “foundation Voir et Entendre” based at Institut de la Vision, and which is celebrating its 10 years during this event.

The International Symposium of Artificial Vision 2017 is planned to provide a platform for researchers working in this field to come together, to present their recent work and to discuss the results and consequences. It is also meant to discuss new approaches and to find ways to foster this field of research in the global scientific community.
On Saturday, October 14, the public is invited to visit the “Discovery Gallery”, a demonstration area where prototypes, equipment or advanced technologies in the field of health will be presented. Located in the foyer of the Opera, this educational and interactive venue will allow visitors to come to “touch”, to experiment and to apprehend in a direct way the innovative “nuggets” emerging from start-ups, companies or research institutes.
